Kirsten Sloth – Unique ..jars

Small vases, handmade, produced in Denmark in the town of Aarhus.

Ms. Kirsten Sloth designs and makes these “beautiful creatures” in her small workshop in the center of the city, European Capital of Culture 2017.

Jars, jugs, bowls and cups of various sizes and designs…each object is unique and unrepeatable…and together they represent a small magical world of craftsmanship.

They are made with a special earth, typical of Jutland, engraved, drawn and painted with natural colors. Finally, they are cooked at 1200 degrees C.

Their inspiration comes from far away Japan … far away but always present in the Scandinavian inspiration and tradition.

The meeting with Kirsten was a special and unforgettable occasion for me.
