Day bed designed by Borge Mogensen in 1958 . Produced by Fredericia Stolefabrik, Denmark. Structure in natural solid oak, slatted . The cushions are upholstered in original Kvadrat green wool. By removing the back cushions the seat becomes 98 cm wide and can be used as a bed.

Functional is the word that best describes Børge Mogensen’s design. Most of his production was conceived by him with industrial production in mind and is characterised by strong, simple lines.
His true genius is to be found in his scientific analysis of the functionality of every single piece. This characteristic of his work was further concretised over time, also thanks to his collaboration with Kaare Klint. The daybed he designed for Fredericia A/S is one of the first pieces he conceived and became very popular. The seat, very deep and wide, is designed for relaxation, the solid oak structure is designed to last.
