Cabinet with drawers and folding top – Borge Mogensen – Code 1363

Teak cabinet with four drawers in the lower part , two in the upper part, document divider and folding top, serving as a desk.

Designed by Borge Mogensen in the first half of the 1950s.

It is a classic of Danish design.

Produced by Soborg Mobler , a danish company that in the 1950s and 1960s collaborated with designers and architects to experiment and create attractive- looking furniture based on concepts of functionality .

Mogensen applied an almost scientific and experimental analysis of functionality to his work.

His timeless and elegant designs are characterised by strong , simple lines subtly reworking traditional forms.
